How does spritebatch pass on GraphicsDevice as a parameter?

[color=#4A4A4A]How is Spritebatch able to pass the parameter GraphicsDevice . Its not a static class, where is it instanced?

protected override void LoadContent()
// Create a new SpriteBatch, which can be used to draw textures.
spriteBatch = new SpriteBatch(GraphicsDevice);
[color="#4a4a4a"] // TODO: use this.Content to load your game content here

[color=#4A4A4A]Any help on this. Just curious to know what the answer is to this smile.png
