Hi,

I have been searching for ways to smooth vertice positons in mesh. This is regarding terrain surfaces. Read about gaussian / laplacian weighting etc. but no clear examples.

Anyone knows of code examples? Ideally C#

Thanks!

If your mesh is a regular grid then you'll want to look at how gaussian blurring is done on a pixel image, if it isn't then you're a bit stuck really.
Not to state the obvious, but if you halve the height of your entire mesh ( scale y ) every slope is going to be half the steepness, isn't it.

The mesh is not a regular regular grid. I saw some docs about the laplacian weighting method. It seems that is what I need but the math in that doc is just way over my head. I was hoping to find some code examples...
