Hi, I am trying to use xna to do this kind of application, mapping a 2D photo into 3D scene through matching several points(2D points -> 3D points). The purpose is to measure human's height in 3D space.

But I have no idea about this matching process. How to calculate the camera's position and other parameters in 3D? Any one have the idea?

Thanks!

Thanks for your reply!

In my project, I used the 3D laser scanner to obtain the 3D scene(point cloud), so I don't need to rebuild it.

My purpose is to put the 2D photo(from the Surveillance camera) into the 3D scene accurately, and measure some objects which 2D photo have but 3D scene don't have, for example, the suspect's height.
