Hello there!
I wanted to inform you guys about a video tutorials series I'm making. At the moment I'm concentrating on XNA tutorials, but there will be more environments covered too.
Here's my channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/GDVLog
About myself, I'm a student majoring in information processing science, and I'm getting my bachelor's degree in two months or so. I have worked as a network / game logic programmer in a MMO project, and I've done some hobby projects including showcases in both UDK and Unity. I've also made an Android game called "WordSwap" (go get it from Market, it's free!) and I'm currently involved in a 3D engine project, which will be open-source when it's released. Also, I'm working as a project manager for our university's project course that involves making an education game for children.
I thought to start making these videos since I have some knowledge about the area of game making and it's always nice to help newcomers out there. Besides, I'm quite bored while waiting for the graduate classes to start, so this tutorial thingy will consume my spare time quite nicely! At the moment I have two videos in my channel, the first one is about basic XNA project set-up and drawing stuff on the screen, and second part is about structuring your project properly before making anything bigger.
The next tutorial is going to be less about game making and more about matrices and vectors and how they are used in games, where I explain just about everything you need to start making 2D or 3D games. I try to keep it as simple as possible, so it should fit for anyone regardless of their experience in math.
Well, that's about it. If you have any questions, corrections, comments, ideas for future tutorials etc., let me know! If you like my videos, please subscribe and upvote.
Video tutorials about game making
Maybe you want to go through HLSL and how to make effects with particle engines etc. Keep up the good work ^^b

It's true that there isn't that many "understandable" HLSL tutorials out there. Most of what I've seen have been straight-out "copy this to your game"-tutorials. Maybe I'll give it a try some day.
The tutorials I find usually end with a simple fire. They don't go the next step to get that awesome sparkling blooming fluid-like spell a wizard may cast.
Was going to make the math tutorial today, but got sick last night, so... gonna take at least until tomorrow. Bear with me
Okay, the math video still postponed due to sub-optimal material. Instead, a bit more funnier video is up, it's about developing the idea for your game! Go check it out (BTW, I'm still a bit sick and I managed to position my mic uncorrectly, so the sound quality is a bit worse. Sorries!)

Heya, after a bit of a break (and just before leaving for a holiday), I managed to get TWO new videos up. One is an in-depth description of XNA's SpriteBatch, and the other one is Part 2 of the game development series, which is about world design this time. Check 'em out
Didn't get a chance to watch more than a couple minutes of the videos yet, but I'm looking forward to watching them when I get some time later today! Subscribed.
I'm a beginner (in game programming but 9 years into programming), and found out that my dev enviroment was not up to the task I was learning XNA, and did some funny stuff with it, now I have moved to slimDX for DX11 capabilities, and its really similar to xna (since its a DX wrapper), but it could sure use a lot more tutorials, and since you seem like an experienced guy maybe you should give it a try.

I might give it a try! What kind of SlimDX topics are missing tutorials?
By the way, just a heads-up: I'm on a holiday for a couple of days, but after that, there will be a GIMP pixel art tutorial!
