Tracing a ray to a certain X value

It's fairly pointless bumping the topic for 2 weeks, I don't think anyone really knows :)

You could try to reduce things down to a minimal sample that exhibits the problem - does it happen with a single viewport? Does it happen if you don't render anything (And output pixel positions as debug print with OutputDebugString() or similar)? Does it happen if the viewports are different sizes?
