How to find the value in trigonometric circle

Let v = A-B be the vector from B to A, then the point on the circle is p = B+v/|v|. If you think of the problem when B=(0,0), the point is simply the vector A normalized to unit magnitude.

I just want to point out that the convention for what directions are what angles is not what your diagram shows: 0 is taken to mean the positive x axis, and the angle then grows counterclockwise.

Oh, and if your question is how to find the angle, the answer is atan2.
