I just have a question about the UDK. Is it considered an industry standard of some sort ? Are there companies making games entirely on UDK or they are just using the Unreal engine sorry for the relatively stupid question but I`m curious.
If you're asking are any companies making AAA games using UDK? No. UDK is basically UE3 without access to source code and I would assume without console support. I'm sure smaller companies sell games made only with UDK, but if you're wondering if you could make Mass Effect 3 using UDK, not a chance.

Just to make clear, mass effect 3 was made with unreal engine 3.

Yes, but UDK is not UE3. When licensing UE3 the developers get full access to the source code allowing them to customize it any way they want.
In case there is any confusion (someone should have explicitly stated this by now anyway), Unreal Engine 3, which costs hundreds of thousands to license and use, is not the same thing as Unreal Development Kit, which is free for use under certain terms.
