OpenGL Weird normals when rendering MD2 models

I'm following a tutorial on loading MD2 models in OpenGL ([url="http://www.videotutorialsrock.com/opengl_tutorial/animation/text.php"]http://www.videotutorialsrock.com/opengl_tutorial/animation/text.php[/url]), but when I render the model I get really weird normals, it looks like some of them are reversed. I'm using pretty much the same code as in the tutorial, but this still happens. What could be causing the problem? I'm using the model downloaded from the tutorial site, so the problem isn't exporting the model to MD2.

Crazy weird normals when I render the model:
