well i plan on starting small you know with a text-based, and after that a single player 2d adventure game, like mario, and after that an rpg game, and after that maybe mmorpg... my main goal is a 3d enviroment where players can interact with the world. like a community, sort of a MMO but very small scale like a maybe 50 people or so... i can explain more in depth over skype if you want but thats an overview. but thats just what i want im always open to ideas and opinions and helping with other projects when i can and offering whatever help i can. altho im just a noob im learning pretty fast, made some paper roc scissors games :P lol

also honestly 90% of the things iv read, using XNA and C# is pretty much as effective as dx9 and C++ but 200% easyer to work with :P but iv just read that, i have not tried it so dont quote me

No offense, but teamwork complicates matters quite a bit. If you don't know what you're doing, you're not going to be able to communicate it...

And as a beginner, it's going to take some months to get out of the basic syntax and debugging learning stage; forming a team is premature.

its not a "team" per-say, its a more like small group of people who can share there programming knowlege with each other and help with bugs and such... like this forum, but on a small personal, project level.

Scrap,

I'd be interested in swapping ideas with you, but as of yet I've not made anything. I'm fairly decent with C++, although I still read to try to understand it fully on a nightly basis. I still need to tackle a lot more before I attempt to actually getting into rendering anything, but I plan on using SFML soon, then continuing on with either dx11 or opengl (undecided right now). I'm not new to the whole programming scene, I'm fluent with PHP and some other web languages, but the concepts are a bit different with C++ so it's taking me a little while to make the conversion.

I may not be able to contribute a whole lot right now, but I don't see this being a huge issue since I'm a pretty quick learner and have the motivation to tackle this.

If you want to add me on skype, I believe my skype username is clapp09
