Hi,

I have an assignment to develop a game that consists of a player and a raindrops using c#. The objective of the game is to move the player so that he does not get wet that is the player must dodge the raindrops. If a raindrop touches the player then the game is over. Can someone suggestion of where to start,.

Your help is highly appreciated.

Are you allowed to use the XNA Framework to make your game? It is a .Net framework that is geared towards game making...

If so, I suggest downloading the Microsoft XNA and creating a new project with the Microsoft Starter Kit, it will have a game with simple collision detection and some game objects floating around. You could edit it to make it work for your game.

This would be a good place to start at seeing how a game is put together. Additionally XNA is a C# package, so it meets your requirements for yor project. If your teacher is cool, he may let you edit that starter kit and make your game out of it.

do you have to use C# or can you use any language? Take a look at SDL or XNA or SFML or Clutter? they are all extendtions for other languages, they provide the user with functions to create a graphical window and load graphics
