I have exported a animated mesh from 3ds max to .x format,

track 1 lifts the left leg
track 2 lifts the second leg

when the model is rendering it always seems to start on track 2 why is this?

Can you give us more info? Are you using a zero-based index?

Yes. If your base 0/1 is out, you select track 1 as the start but 0-based index will give you 'track 2'.

Can you give us any more information?
