# How to find the circumscribed or inscribed circle/sphere of a AABB

I am in need of the radius of a AABB basically or the largest sphere I can place in the AABB. Not sure about the math on this at all...

The largest diameter you can fit inside a box is the minimum of the three dimensions. The radius is half of that.

My guess is that for the circumscribed sphere, you'd take the (space) diagonal length and half that for the radius. For the inscribed sphere, you'd take the shortest AA extent (width, height, length) and half that for the radius (yeah, what Alvaro said, heh). Edited by taby
