Civil War - First Attack

Hi Everyone,

I thought up a great idea for a game which is unique and would require a team of 20 - 30 people to do, also with many voice actors.

Civil War - First Attack
Platforms: PC, PS3
Players: 2
Perspective: First Person

The Story: You are a young man who joined the Civil War in 1861. Quickly training and reaching a captain at a young age, you select a team for your mission. You must walk or ride a horse through dirt roads, small towns and cross water, also weather is a factor such as snow. It starts in Virginia and moves upstat, on the way you have to save bridges and mills from being destroyed by the Union, join flanking troops in defending, scout the area and storm the towns and wave of fighters.

Unique Gameplay: Many players hate how small a world is, such as in car racing, you generally can't go off track, GTA changed this allowing you a free world to explore. So in CW-FA it'd be a massive world that you can go into the woods, down roads, into houses, etc. To prevent game lagging and protect resources there would be loading zones. It'd be a invisible square grid that when you step on it, it quietly loads the next area, eliminating loading screens. For entering houses you'd have to actually open a door by pulling on it or pushing it. For taking damage it'd be 1 or 2 hits killed. No life bar, why? Because the Sharps Carbines, Minnie Balls and 3 Ringers were solid lead and one hit mostly killed you.
For the prospective it'd be lifelike size, so in the woods the trees would be 10X your size, doors your height, etc. This game would mimic the civil war history. When you stay in one place too long or camp out too much, you are in threat of a sneak attack. The enemies would be very very smart and mostly counter your moves. You would only be able to select the actions of yourself and not your party. If you become injuried, there is a chance for a doctor to patch you up during the battle, keep in him he can be shot as well if focus is on him. It takes awhile to bandage up and hopefully your team can keep the focus off of you. You won't be able to regain total health, if your leg is broken it will cause you to limp.

Basically it'd have a realistic touch to it.

Multiplayer: There would be a match mode like Golden Eye 64 but a very large level to play, and you would be able to enter houses and hide behind objects.

Hello Fayt,

I struggle to determine what the purpose of your post is for.

If it was for looking for other people then you would want to post in the "Help Wanted Classifieds" forums if on the other hand you are simply announcing your idea then you would be better served in the "Announcements" forum

If you are looking for commentary or input in Game Design then you would want to be in the "Game Design" forum

If you are looking for feedback, advice, criticism etc on your story then welcome to this the "Writing for Games" forum ". But in the absence of any actual question, request etc I am not even sure that you are seeking this.

Can you elucidate further as to what your post is intended for (if it is other than simply announcing your game idea that is)?
Hi Stormynature,

It is intended for an idea, not looking for help on making it. Looking for feedback on it. This was the only place I saw that was for ideas to be discussed.

What kind of feedback? Feedback on the story? Or feedback on the game design? Those are two different things, meaning two different forums. This Writing forum is for discussions about story writing.

Tom,

Sorry if I posted it in the wrong place, can you move it? It was more of feedback on the game idea, like how it'd be unique and realistic. Not so much with the storyline.
