Im looking for good directx 9 in c++ tutorials on the net.Ive looked at directxtutorials.com, but was really annoyed that only a few of the tutorials were free. I've heard of toy maker,is that a good tutorial? can someone please tell me the best one around teaching you about direct3d,directsound and directinput.
Thanks in advance. Edited by infernapelover

There are plenty, YouTube has a fair few videos on the topic, Toy Maker is a good start yes, also take a look at Riemers (I think he works in C#, but they may be some C++ DirectX tutorials about). Also, read some books. An introduction to directx9 a shader approach my Frank P Luna is a great book to get started with, and of course, read the documentation that comes with DirectXSDK and take a look at the samples, I found that for me, to be the most useful.

Good Luck.

If you want to look at DirectX 10 or 11, I found these 2 to be alright:

http://www.rastertek.com/tutindex.html
http://braynzarsoft.net/index.php (the tutorials are hidden in the rollover in the "home" button in the menu)

For DirectX 9, what theark mentioned is what I also would go for.

http://www.two-kings.de/ may be of use to you. I've only just skimmed through it, so I can't attest to the quality of code or ease of understanding, but hopefully you can find something helpful there,
