DirectX 9.0 C Warning X3571

Hello

i m working on Directx 9.0c. While running a sample example from frank D Luna sample example in release mode then getting this Warning
warning X3571: pow(f, e) will not work for negative f, use abs(f) or conditionally handle negative values if you expect them

but in debug mode it's fine

using SDK Nov 2008 and Aug 2007

Any help

It's a warning from the shader compiler. Figure out which shader it's coming from, and fix the code.
