Hello,
Im a little confused about the order in which each of the three - kinectSensor_AllFramesReady() update() draw() - methods are called?

If I put my update code in kinectSensor_AllFramesReady() .... will it be the same as running it in the update method? Technically update is called 60 times a second and kinectSensor_AllFramesReady is called every time a frame is ready.

Could some one please clarify. Thank you in advance.

I don't recomend you to use the kinectSensor_AllFramesReady() event handler. It's better use the Poll method in a XNA game.
This article has obsolete code (kinect sdk beta) but explain why use the poll method.

And remember to set the TargetElapsedTime property of the game under 30 frames per second.
TargetElapsedTime = TimeSpan.FromSeconds(1f / 30f);
