Animation in .X file in DirectX 9.0C

m working on DirectX 9.0C. i want to implement some objects (like tank and helicopter) on a terrain.
but problem is while moving wheels and rotors are not rotating.

can this type of animation can be achieved through coding only or we can use animater .X file

if so please help....

You could achieve this type of animation either procedurally (through coding) or through an X file or other animation file format. Provided you have a bone in the center of a vehicle's wheel, you could simply apply a time-based rotation around the appropriate axis to create spinning wheels (or helicopter rotor blades for that matter).
