Recently I started teaching a friend of mine C# and moving into XNA as we go along. However he's use to learning in a textbook instead of just a tutorial or a PDF with some small projects in it. So my question, What are some good C# textbooks? and Also textbooks for XNA. I personally have not found any XNA textbooks only beginner books that show a few aspects of XNA and that's about it.

(By "textbook" i mean exercises at the end of chapters and etc)

Here's a list of books I found which may be helpful, they are for me.

Learning XNA 4.0 by Aaron Reed (yes Black-Rook he did update his earlier version).
XNA Game Studo Creator's Guide, 2nd Ed. by Stephen Cawood and Pat McGee
XNA Game Development by Example by Kurt Jaegers

Hope these help

"Professional XNA game programming: for Xbox 360 and Windows", by Nitschke, Benjamin

"Essential C# 4.0", by Mark Michaelis

"C# 2010 all-in-one for dummies", by Bill Sempf

These books cover most of the basics needed for game development in their areas with some advanced subjects and I highly recommend them.
