What I am after is some reference photos and a location of an American small town, that perfectly represents the "stereotypical" 60s era.

Alternative: I would love to get a list of what people think should not be missing in a small American town in the 60s, when it comes to commercials, buildings, cars, and so on.

Sexism and racism. Just shit tons of it.
Good news, everyone! I have a signature now!
Diners!
The Coen Brother's movie "A Serious Man" might be a good point of reference for you.

Great, this was exactly the thing I was looking for. biggrin.png
Thank all of you for the great replies; this will really help me in the development
I would shy away from major cities and/or anonymous midwestern suburban towns. Such things really make the game feel like it fits into a mold, not unique. Try picking something unique, like a place in a state not used much in media, such as Montana, Indiana (fits the theme best), etc.

C dominates the world of linear procedural computing, which won't advance. The future lies in MASSIVE parallelism.
