I'll fix that, it seems you must have Microsoft visual studio installed to run it. I'll fix it tomorrow. Try downloading the source code and then compiling

Good job, that was quick. I was unable to play it though, it says MSVCP100D.dll is missing.

You'll need to compile your project in the "Release" configuration before distributing.

Good job.
But you got few problems...
I downloaded the zip and i needed to put png files intro "./images/..." fix that. Also when a ball hits the paddle from side i was like 'nooo im gona lose' but then the ball went up ^^ should consider that as a lose.
Anyway 10/10! Package and price it 60$ and you will be rich in no time.

EDIT:
Also games paddle can go out of screen really far. Edited by BaneTrapper

I just updated the link to the game. I compiled in release mode and tested it, it works on all computers now. Here's the new link for the game:

Nice job and congratulations on finishing your game ;)

I played it a little, and have 2 complains on it. I didn't look at your code since I'm working on my own game, but still:
1) Paddle can get out of screen
2) Ball cannot fall down - when it touches bottom border it reflects back up.

Update: Breakout v2

CHANGELOG:
+Added a Main Menu!
+You lose when the ball hits the bottom of the screen! (Implementing Lives system soon!)
+Added Dynamic Buttons to the Main Menu!
+Fixed some bugs!

I've been working on this update for 2 days now. It only took an hour and a half for the main menu (I recently found out the difference between sf::MouseButton and sf::MouseMove!), and everything else if relatively minor. Hopefully I'll get you guys three lives and a game over screen on monday!

Link Fixed
Also, you need to take BackgroundImage.png, PlayImage.png, and ExitImage.png from the Source folder and put them in the images file of the application folder (That's my fault, sorry :)) Edited by superman3275

Just updated, spent probably 1 hour and 45 minutes. I had some undefined behavior that made release mode only work half the time (I was using a undefined boolean in an if loop ). So, here's the changelog:
CHANGELOG:
+Added Game Over Screen!
+Made it so the paddle can't go out of the screen!
-Undefined behavior that made the program not work for a lot of people!

Hope you guys enjoy it

Error 404 when clicking the link.. Also, when downloading your second version, the one that adds the title screen, you are missing 3 non-block images.

Test, test and test again before distributing your game(s)! Missing images shouldn't be the issue, otherwise, people may be skeptical the next time you post a link for feedback.

Keep up the positive attitude though, just scale back on the rush to get a link to your project up.

Regards,

Stitchs.

I just updated it:
CHANGELOG:
+Gave JTippets Credit for Images
+Added seperate endings for winning and losing the game.

You can download it at:

I hope you guys enjoy it, Dropbox is taking forever to upload it, but mediafire is super quick (I use both dropbox and mediafire, dropbox is sadly extremely slow however.)
