hello, I was wondering if anyone has a function to load a bitmap using the inline assembler in MSVC++. I was hoping that I could put the assembly code in a header file and include it in the main file when I make it. A simple bitmap function would suffice as long as I can call upon it at any time and unload the bitmap at anytime. Thanks, -darkcoder8 -darkcoder8

To make it a little faster, unless you can make a function that''s pretty fast.
Thanks,

Disk access itself is slow enough that it should not be done during any time critical tasks. If you look at all the factors that affect the time of loading a bitmap, the actual code execution is very small compared to the disk operation. Taking the time to optimize LoadBitmap probably isn''t worth it unless you have something extremely specific you''re trying to do.
