The GameDev.net FreeBook is relevant to game designers, developers, and those interested in learning more about the challenges in game development. The Curated Books The Art of Game Design: A Book of Lenses, Second Edition, by Jesse Schell Presents 100+ sets of questions, or different lenses, for viewing a game’s design, encompassing diverse fields such as psychology, architecture, music, film, software engineering, theme park design, mathematics, anthropology, and more. Written by one of the world's top game designers, this book describes the deepest and most fundamental principles of game design, demonstrating how tactics used in board, card, and athletic games also work in video games. It provides practical instruction on creating world-class games that will be played again and again. View it here. A Practical Guide to Indie Game Marketing, by Joel Dreskin Marketing is an essential but too frequently overlooked or minimized component of the release plan for indie games. A Practical Guide to Indie Game Marketing provides you with the tools needed to build visibility and sell your indie games. With special focus on those developers with small budgets and limited staff and resources, this book is packed with tangible recommendations and techniques that you can put to use immediately. As a seasoned professional of the indie game arena, author Joel Dreskin gives you insight into practical, real-world experiences of marketing numerous successful games and also provides stories of the failures. View it here. An Architectural Approach to Level Design This is one of the first books to integrate architectural and spatial design theory with the field of level design. The book presents architectural techniques and theories for level designers to use in their own work. It connects architecture and level design in different ways that address the practical elements of how designers construct space and the experiential elements of how and why humans interact with this space. Throughout the text, readers learn skills for spatial layout, evoking emotion through gamespaces, and creating better levels through architectural theory. View it here. I never said you were stupid. I offered you my very best advice, based on my years of experience. If you were offended, that was not my intention. My intention was to help you achieve your goal by showing you the things you should not do and the things you should do. If you were offended by the first link, then perhaps you did not look at the second and third links. You should.

I think He intentionally uses the Term "Stupid" Within that Document. In my opinion, it is used to great effect and should not be removed.

There is no such thing as "best company" Apply where you want to work, its as simple as that.

any way

I feel uncomfortable that expression ...(and sorry to said I disapointed about that writting. I just skipp it.)

and I'm not  agree with you about best terms ..

There is alway admirable and best studio exist ...

I can't ask to agree with me. and I think arguing that stuff is just wasting mental energy and time.

If there is some one  know or think which one  is great studio or company , and if you can tell me.

I very appreciate it..

and Happy christmas :)

So just to give some idea of how to narrow your search and a resource for you, here is a link to gamedevmap.com.

On the world map on this site, each dot represents an area or region in which there are multiple studios.

There are hundreds and hundreds of studios out there, each may be the best studio for one person and the worst for others.

Best is totally subjective.

I hope the link above helps you find your best studio.

11. STUPID WORRYING

"What if I get the job but then they find out I'm a fraud and fire me?"

-----

I just have to say this is one of the funniest things i've read because i'm constantly worrying about it. Guess I needed a good kick in the backside.
