openGL under XP

Hi, I have recently bought Windows XP, and i try to compil some nehe programs, but when i run it, it''s slow, as i run it in software mode. I cant understand it because Quake 3 Arena run as well as under windows 98.....! My Woodoo is detected, all is right. Can anybody help me ??

get the latest drivers for your video card..
if you''re using an nvidia card, get the latest detonator pack.
i did this and it fixed everything

3dfx don''t make xp drivers, i dont find it ....
but quake 3 works right, i dont think it''s a driver problem elsewhere quake dont work so good.

I wonder whether it''s anything to do with the fact that Q3A uses it''s own "miniGL" library which would I suppose, provide OpenGL support though not for the entire OpenGL API...

encom : Install new video card drivers : thera ARE winXP drivers for 3dfx cards (look at www.ntcompatible.com)

about q3 working ok : it wokrs becouse win XP has opengl->dx warper ... look in forums at www.opengl.org forums for more info

There are more worlds than the one that you hold in your hand...
