Project: Survive

Hello GameDev!

My name is Marcus, for the last 2 years I've been working on a game idea. Not really an idea anymore as I have a GDD that is about 90% complete.

My project is being titled Survive.

I don't really wanna give the backstory away but its a 3rd person survival horror that mixes different elements of gameplay, Human Emotions. In most cases games give you a character that has some type of background in special forces or combat. My lead Character Jenna has non of that.

She is a mother and nothing more. The game sticks with realism to a T. No random ammo, health pick ups. you can visit a gun shop when you run out of ammo thats it though, If you want more you have to kill members of the task force. and use their guns

its really hard for me to explain this while not trying to give my own spoilers out.

I'll add a view photos

After I over see the copyright of my story I'll share more. If its anything (not to boost my own ego) but I have the lead game disigner looking over my GDD.

I'll answer questions

I have a level designer and 3D artist and myself as the team.

Is that an image from the Toronto Zombie Walk - http://www.flickr.com/photos/wvs/2961060058/in/set-72157608225157164 - ? Are you the same guy who took those pics?

The sloth-like creature seems like it could be an interesting zombie, but those two images are all I found on your fb page. Got more concept art?

More importantly though, since you aren't asking for any game design advice or design feedback, perhaps this post would be better suited for the "Your Announcement" forums? Not that you should cross-post (meaning, you should not post this post again in announcements), just saying for future reference.

Moving you to Your Announcements for the reasons Milcho mentioned above -- if you'd like to ask for feedback you're welcome to start a more detailed topic in Game Design, but as-is this topic doesn't really invite discussion of your idea.

After I over see the copyright of my story I'll share more.

Copyright applies automatically with no action on your part as soon as you create your work, although in some countries you may optionally register your copyright to improve your case should you end up in court.

You'll need to prepare a proper pitch, including proper demo to gain the attention of a large publisher. You can read more about funding methods here.

That site, meaning topleftpixel.com, is where i found the link to the Flickr gallery (See the very bottom of the page)

Having someone who's taken part of, or attended a zombie walk design a realistic zombie game could potentially add quite a few details for realism - after all that's the closest we can get to actually seeing what a zombie epidemic would look like in reality.

Yup same as I - must admit had independently looked for the photo as was interested in its origination (i.e. very effective shot captured) - added my post in when saw your question but didn't pursue your link through as had one. Threw the licence in as being applicable simply because the question was asked was it Reality's - at worst though a simple attribution would resolve any concern there if it wasn't.
