Direct Draw Scaling with Color Keys
Ive been stuck on this problem for quite a while so i decided to post it here:
For my game I added window mode and scaled all the bricks down with blt function... however the blt function seems to "smooth" when you scale down so my transparent color (pink) apears around the actual image - not as pure pink so it is not transparent but as slightly darker pinks or lighter pinks??????
How can i stop this
Plz Help

Forget about colorkeying, use alpha instead !
1) newer cards dont have chromakeying in hw they have to fake it with alpha
2) as you said, the interpolation makes it go jukky when rescaling ..
So use alpha instead and you will have the holes smoothed around them when rescaled.. wich is alot nicer.. or you can if you really need the speed just use alphatesting will still work
