I have only dx8 sdk installed but would like to program with some dx7 directdraw functions, therefore microsoft''s dx7 documentation help file would be useful. Does anyone know where i can get just the help document without having to download the whole sdk?

If you downloaded the DX8 SDK then I''m not sure if this is true... BUT, If you ordered the CD and still have it look in the directory: "D:\DXF\Extras\Documentation\DirectX7\"

In there should be two files and a couple of directories. The two files should be:

"DirectX7.CHI" and "DirectX7.CHM"

If you copy those to a direcory on your hard drive you''ll have complete access to the DX7 documentation...

Again, I''m not sure what the downloadable SDK is like but I know this works with the CD SDK.

Hope this helps
