Direct3D8 Exception w/TNT

I wrote a simple D3D8 app and it it throws an exception when I call m_pDevice->Present(NULL, NULL, NULL, NULL)!!! None of the methods return any error codes, and it runs fine on my Athlon w/ a GeForce2... Has anyone else ever encountered this sort problem?

Have you tried the same code using the Reference drivers? It may be a problem with your card (bad drivers, etc).

usually when that sort of thing happens it''s because you forgot something totally obvious - in my case anyway.
have you remembered BeginScene / EndScene? - some graphics cards dont mind that, others do.
just a thought.
