# Breakout Collision (Java Slick2d API)

I am having a problem with my collision detection on my breakout game. Right now I have my ball, bricks and paddle as Rectangles and a Circle using Slick2d.

the code I've been using has just been

//Not actual code, just example

If(ball.intersects(brick)){
ball.reverseVelocityY();
}



But I need to fix it so what when the ball collides with the brick from the side, it reacts accordingly. What should I do for this?
