Multimonitor system (problem w/ adapters)

Hi, I had a problem with my multimon application. I thouhgt I was doing something wrong in it. It used to completely freeze my computer if I try to show a texture but worked fine if I take out m_pd3dDevices->SetTexture(0, m_pTextures[i]) calls. The system I used consisted of three nVidia GeForce2 MX 400 adapters. But now I tried it on another system: S3 Virge DX + ASUS GeForce 2 GTS and it workes fine with a texture! So I was wondering is this a problem w/ my hardware but not software. Did any of you experiece something like that? Thanks in advace...
