- Deadly Kawaii -

Lately, I've been working on a sidescroller called Deadly Kawaii.  More than that, I've been running an Indiegogo campaign - located here - to flesh it out into a bigger, story-driven game to be released for PC and Mac.


Right now, the campaign is 90% funded and I wanted to market it around and about as much as possible to give it the final push.


So - here's my Game Dev forum post for Deadly Kawaii.

Deadly Kawaii is about magical girls.  Mostly Nimh.



Nimh is a magical girl with a love of justice and a hate for monsters.


Followed by her welsh corgi, Pops the Cacophonous, Nimh runs around the city fighting creepy ghouls and monsters in the name of truth, justice, and coffee.


In more detail from the interview: 



Deadly Kawaii is a sidescroller game with a progressive story revolving around a character named Nimh - a magical girl.  It's essentially a revenge story, with Nimh traversing various ghost-infested cities to kill the person responsible for murdering her best friend.  Following her is her loyal welsh corgi, Pops the Cacophonous.  The game features colorful, cartoony aesthetics contrasted with a bit of violence, blood, and a slightly more serious story.  The world takes place in a slightly different but mostly similar modern day world like ours - basically, it's magical realism + Sailor Moon + lot's of killing and character deaths.






And lot's of awesome features!  Such as:


? At least 12 shiny levels!

? 6 different transformations, each with their own different outfits!

? Evil and sassy magical girl bosses to fight!

? A welsh corgi as your companion!

? Blood, violence, and cuteness!
