How do I calculate the line of sight of an agent that he sees in the world so that he can make a response to it in Direct3D

I know there is a way to build a Left-handed view matrix and projection matrix, but how can I make frustum so that objects intersect with this frustum will include in his line of sight.

Thanks

Jack

What i would recommend:

First check the distance and dot product for angle between agent and his target if that passes use ray-cast with 2-3 rays to determine target visibility against that "world" (most physics libraries have this feature).
