Hardware Accel
I'm a bit confused about how hardware acceleration in openGL works. For instance with the NeHe tutorials, my laptop has an ATI Mobility 128 on it, but these tutorials use the Software GDI and needless to say it is slooow. Anyhow, I'm just wondering if there's specific (Windows 2k/XP) C++ code that can be written to tell it to search for a specific driver, like in DirectX.
And if there is, if someone could direct me to a good resource for writing that type of code, I'd appreciate it.

*Grin*. Check the previous thread. You have to make sure that the PixelFormat is accelerated. I *assume* you''d use EnumPixelFormat to find a suitable one, although I don''t know why ChoosePixelFormat with PDF_FLAGS_ACCELERATED (or some constant with a similar name, I can''t remember it precisely) doesn''t find one for me.
