Reflection and Performance

I'm trying to create reflections such as water reflection and glass reflection, I'm using cube texture to create dynamic cube and rendering the scene multiple times per frame.

 

Now, I'm trying to improve performance, how do I render the scene to the cube texture at low level of details?

 

When I try to render the cube texture at low resolution I can see bad edges in the reflection.

 

I also want the reflection to be blurry.
