Unit Sprite Sheet - 2d

Recommended Posts

Hey all guys.

I'm developing a 2d orthogonal strategy game. The graphic would be something like telepath tactics.

Currently we're creating a prototype and we could use a sprite sheet of 2 to 4 characters.

We started using this asset on opengameart, but its license is CC share alike and GPL3 so, if we want to use it, we have to publish the entire source code of the game.

Could you point me other spritesheet we could use. Anything simple would be good, it's just for the prototype.

If you check the first image in the gallery of this project you could see the base spritesheet we would like to implement.

We appreciate any help you could give us.

A really easy and free way to make commercially usable sprites is using Daz3D.  That tutorial link walks you through the how of it.  You can get easy and pretty good looking walk cycles in a few minutes.

Warning though, use a disposable email, Daz spams the hell out of you.

Since I only found out about this like earlier this year, I'm always eager to share it...

Gmail "ignores" periods in an email address, so if your email address is foobar@gmail.com, you could give a particular survey or website (Daz in this case) an email address like fooba.r@gmail.com (since Gmail "ignores" periods, this is delivered to your foobar@gmail.com account) and then setup a filter to throw messages sent to that address in the trash or if you want to keep them and potentially review them later, you could add a label to them (label named 'Daz' here) and set the emails to skip the inbox.

Then you could go under that tag and review the emails or nuke them all or whatever you feel is appropriate.

Just a nice tip for throwing together a quick burner email address. smile.png
