Wuli Adventure (Capcom/Disney style)

Shorelins is proud to introduce its first game, Wuli Adventure, for PC. This is a retro 2D action-platformer in the style of the old Capcom/Disney SNES games. This game is currently in development and I would love to hear any thoughts and constructive opinions you might have. Below is some early gameplay footage.
Note that there is no music on the this video as of yet, but we do have an artist from Ocremix providing the soundtrack.

I am also posting here some info about our composer, Meteo Xavier. I have to pick few songs there that will be used as official song for the game:

Game looks fun. Looks like a classic platformer. Wouldn't mind playing it when it is released.

Thanks dragonsoulj ! But you know, you probably won't have to wait the release date because I will release a free playable demo at some point and be sure I will let you know about it. People opinion on the gameplay will surely help me to improve the game.

  • I am posting some thoughts and critics from some members. If a user don't want me to share his opinion here just let me know and I will remove the lines where he/she is involved.
  • But I thought it would add in therm of criticism.

    well, one thing i will say is that the hands in the air animation seems to be overused to me
    but other than that its great
    perhaps thats the style, im not really into capcom stuff so i dunno

Thanks Dragonsoulj. Glad I have this beautiful legendary character joining the thread! To Segmented: It is probably weird because I didn't place the arms correctly and/or the drawing is ok but the timing is bad, like the frame is exposed too promptly (3 frame on 30fps), or/and the weird frame does not fit well in the frame sequence so it pops out, it does not fit harmoniously the frame sequence... so yes I have few ideas how to fix it.

So for the forest study it is just about a perspective choice that can be used in any game, but I found this perspective setup was frequently used by Capcom.

Looks like a really nice game =) is it avaliable to try playing it?

something that I saw was that when throwing knife at the guard, he didn't have any indication that you hit him with a knife, you might have already fixed that, other than that, I want to try it =)
