cycling manager

To be honest, I don''t know enough about the subject to make an educated opinion about whether the subject material is deep enough to make a "fun" game or not. Maybe you could explain in a bit more detail exactly what the game would entail?

From a purely marketing point of view*, however, I am unconvinced. While football fans might often think they "could do better" than their favourite teams manager, hence provoking an interest in the relatively tedious task of management, does the same apply to cycling fans?

*Of course, in a perfect world, the marketing guys opinions would be pretty irrelevent....

Well, the managing part of the game is pretty much comparable to championship manager: buying and selling drivers, intervening in their training schedules, giving reactions to the press, talking with sponsors and suppliers,...

But during the races, you have more control then with soccer. You can give instructions to your cyclists, like when to attack, when to counter an attack, how much effort they should use, when and how to sprint,...

I know only one existing cyling manager game, and that''s the one of Cyanide. It did do pretty well, but it had pretty good graphics, you could follow the race in 3D. I can''t do that, but I do have some ideas to make the gameplay a little more complex to make up for that loss. (off course the player can adjust that complexity)
