UpdateSubResource

I have a quick question. When using UpdateSubResource to update a texture, do you need to call CreateShaderResourceView prior to the UpdateSubResource call? Or not necessary?

One more question, can you call CreateShaderResourceView prior or after the UpdateSubResource call? Is it indiference?

You may call CreateShaderResourceView and UpdateSubResource in what ever order you wish to. 

 

Typically I create the the shader resource view when I create the resource, but that's just a question of the program structure.
