More ID3DXSprite help
when rendering sprites that would show half on screen, half off, does dx8 automatically clip the image so it only renders what is needed? I would assume so, but whenever i render an object at say (-100000, -100000) it still takes just as much as if it was at (0,0)

If an object is rendered at 0,0, then it would be visible, because 0,0 would probably be the top left corner, but to answer your question, yes. D3D automatically clips for ya.

you are right, it should be faster,
hmmm... is it the refresh rate limited the fps so you think it doesnt faster?
try to put more objects, say 1000, per frame to see
