Hello,

I am very excited because I finished my first book (and we all know how hard it is for programmers to finish something).  Anyway, here's a link the book info.

"Fundamental 2D Game Programming with Java" by Tim Wright

The release date isn't firm, but as soon as it's available I will post again.  Hopefully this book fills in that gap for people who want to make games in Java.  There are not that many good books on the subject.

Why is it overpriced?

I didn't set the price.  All that stuff is done by the publisher.  I think it is because it is a 650 page tome.  The cost a lot to print.

Sell it on digital.

Remember that these things can be a bit subjective -- whilst $60 may seem expensive to you, it's a perfectly reasonable price to others. If I were in the market for a book on this topic and if the reviews were positive I would be quite happy to pay that price. Congratulations on getting it published Tim, hopefully it's popular and goes well for you!
 Why is it overpriced? Thanks jbadams.  I don't think I can judge how good it is, but I know all the programmers that per-reviewed it really enjoyed it.
