I am very excited because I finished my first book (and we all know how hard it is for programmers to finish something). Anyway, here's a link the book info.

The release date isn't firm, but as soon as it's available I will post again. Hopefully this book fills in that gap for people who want to make games in Java. There are not that many good books on the subject.

So the book is finally back from the printers and available for orders.
I didn't set the price. All that stuff is done by the publisher. I think it is because it is a 650 page tome. The cost a lot to print.

Why is it overpriced?
Remember that these things can be a bit subjective -- whilst $60 may seem expensive to you, it's a perfectly reasonable price to others. If I were in the market for a book on this topic and if the reviews were positive I would be quite happy to pay that price.
