Textures matrices

I have tried to get hold of information on using texture matrices without any luck. I tried reading the sdk documentation but was left clueless. Well if I wan''t to rotate the texture using the texture coordinates how do I do it by using matrices? How is the data stored in the texture matrice? what data is stored and where?
