Is there anyway to execute a windows shortcut from my program? I''ve tried using the functions WinExec and ShellExecute and get errors (ACCESS DENIED) for both, does windows just not allow access to these types of files? http://kickme.to/BallisticPrograms

Yes you can. The only way I know is you have to get the path the shortcut points to and then execute that path. For non-MSI shortcuts this works fine. But for MSI shortcuts it takes a little more work. Don’t ask me what functions I used because I cant remember. Do some google searches that is where I found it the first time.
