BIOS reset

You can reflash your BIOS with something like awdflash, but you''ll need to be rebooted in DOS mode to do it, so that means you probably need physical access.

As far as I can remember every computer I have ever worked on has had a restore to defaults command in the BIOS, you could try that. This wouldn''t work if you installed a BIOS patch or some kind of firmware update and in that case I don''t think you can undo it unless they make an undo update program. AFAIK BIOS updates change the actual code in the chip so the update isn''t lost if you dissconnect the battery.
