I watched youtube video HOW RAYMAN LEGENDS IS MADE!
, in the video I see the developer is controlling a mesh that's automatically filled by the texture with accuracy. could someone give me an idea how this could be done?

Looking at the video it seems like they start with a basic quad and apply the texture to it. Then you can rotate/scale/translate or add new points to the quad in order to create complex shapes. Also one thing i do notice is that when they make the meshes bigger. they just repeat whatever texture was on the surface. So if they scale the surface by 2 then the texture get repeated twice, that way it does not look like it is stretched.
