Question re scriptable RTS game engines

Recently I've gotten into Lua scripting and had my interest pique with the Stratagus engine--it is an engine that developed out of the FreeCraft project and has a well documented API list but no real tutorial on how to even get started. Their best advice was take a look at another project and go from there. I didn't really find that advice useful because it doesn't even tell me where to begin. I've looked before but are there other tile based RTS engines out there that use Lua or Python scripting to define the game? I would prefer Lua scripting over Python--but any suggestions would be helpful
