Drag and drop in scene editor

Hi all,

What is the best behavior in a game editor when the user drag and drop from content browser ?

Two choices possible : Raycast using the physic engine or Raycast using ray-triangle algo.

Well, these are two (almost) equal methods to determine a position in your game world, which has not a lot to do with behavior. Nevertheless, it doesnt matter very much as long as both methods have similar properties (find the same position, similar performance etc.). Best to use the methods which is most easily implemented and maintained, because a scene editor doesn't depend much on performance or pretty GUIs, it depends on keeping it low-budget, smart and useful.
