help! how import .x file to 3d studio max if it have a plug-in ,please tell me where can I down it? thank you !!!

i haven''t researched this but i think you can use
a tool that comes with the DX SDK to flatout convert
from x to 3ds.
check out in your sdk directory

bin\DXUtils\XFiles\convx.exe

you say use convx to rebuild .x to .3ds?

but i can''t find help in sdk

how can i do it ?

just simply run the command without and options and
it''ll give you the params and their descriptions.

but dont'' bother, i checked it out. it doesn''t
convert from x to 3ds, but rather to a text file.
shoulda known that MS wouldn''t want to provide anyone
with anything helpful if it would further their cause
to dominate the world.
