The Week of awesome II! - The second annual unofficial gamedev competition!

So, like... Tuesday? 3pm? smile.png

Does anyone feel like testing my game while there's still time to fix critical issues? I'd love it if a judge told me it at least ran on his/her computer.

It's an xna game, so you'll need .Net 4 framework, and XNA 4.0 refresh. Installation_Guide.txt should have links to microsoft. Instructions.txt will tell you how to play.

Thanks in advance,

- Eck

I have tested it. It's well made considering the limited timeframe. I say it captures the theme quite well. About bugs, there might be two (I don't know if they're actual bugs or intended to be like that, but I'll detail them anyway):

1. Hide Stats hides all stats except for one of the enemy unit. However, this behavior disappears after that unit moves. Not game-breaking in any sense.

2. Unit movements seem to slow down sometimes, especially after attacking. But I don't know if this is intentional.

Edit: Btw, you did post in the other thread, right?

Alrighty!

Had a million things to do this week but had the game on my mind at all times. Here's "Escape From Toy Tower"!

(Posted it on github for free hosting)

There were tons of things I wanted to do but didn't get to. Nonetheless I had an awesome time working on this and learned a lot. I went for a retro style since that's more forgiving on terrible artists and that's the best art I can do (ha).

I really appreciate this format because it helps me actually finish a project so that being said, big thanks to the coordinators this was an awesome idea and I'll be participating next year.

You should be able to package it as a one-click install that will download all the necessary dependencies.

It seems to run fine on my machine! (I have XNA installed already).

Good luck!
