ZBUFFER question1

In the code i'm working on in my tut. the ZBUFFER is cleared in the following statement: Clear(0, NULL, D3DClear_ZBUFFER, D3DColor_XRGB(0, 0, 0), 1.0F, 0) What do the two last parameters (1.0f and 0) refer to?
