Modern Point and Click engines

Are there any modern point and click engines with actually modern features? I've tried Adventure Game Studio but it has limitations of an engine form the 90's. Are there any that have SVG graphics and preferably Python, JavaScript, or Lua scripting?

Well, there's Wintermute, but it's getting a little dated also. There's an open source engine called Sludge which was rewritten recently. There's AGE, adventure game engine. Those are the only ones I can think of that come to mind at present, at least 2d. There's a Unity adventure engine in the Unity shop for 3d, might do 2d also.

The feature-set is a little broader and therefore you would need to do more set-up to get an adventure game working, but Game Maker can load and display vector graphics (unfortunately swf rather than SVG) and offers it's simple GML scripting language.
